Hobbit Village
The filming location of the popular spin-off of the Lord of the Rings film series, The Hobbit trilogy, is still loved by fans around the world and has become a popular tourist destination. It is about a 40-minute drive from Hamilton and a day trip is recommended. You will spend a special time as if you have entered a fantasy world.
Waitomo Firefly Cave
This place is famous for its fireflies. You can take a boat down the stream in the cave and watch the starry sky in the cave.
Redwood Forest
In this vast primeval forest of about 5,000 hectares, there are redwoods, one of the three largest trees in the world, where you can enjoy a forest bath. There is also a trail with 28 suspension bridges connecting giant trees over 100 years old. The total length is 700 meters.
